Children of Lost Time

I don't wear a watch or carry a phone (except on rare occasions). I do always have a book with me when I go out - which is sufficient to both tell the time and communicate with the world.

Today it is raining. It rains every day here in Cornwall. It even rains inside my flat (but that is a story for another day, on another blog, that like this one will never be read). Of course last spring/ summer it barely rained for six months. But you see my point.

I am happiest when outside in nature (or even in Lidl at a push). I even do almost all my reading outside. Therefore it must follow that I am at my most depressed when inside. So this blog should be considered through the prism of the fact that if I am writing here I must be either depressed or writing this to stave off depression.

I did initially think of speaking my thoughts and recording them on my phone. I would journal while outdoors, in a positive mood. But that would involve carrying my phone with me. And also, I don't go anywhere that remote and the chance of someone coming across me mumbling to myself is reasonable.

Heaven forbid they see me and think I'm mad. They'd be right, but still...

Here's today's tune. You can play this one as loud as you feel socially acceptable for your current surroundings. It helps to drown out the rain.
